At 8.10 A.M. on the morning of 20th June, 2017, Anqing Foreign Language School greeted a distinguished group of friends--leaders of non-government funded association in Anhui Province as well as leaders with the Education Bureau in Hefei City and ten outstanding civilian-run school masters in Anhui Province. Accompanied by Anqing Foreign Language School’s President Madam Huang Wenli and Principal Assistant Lu Dan, they toured Anqing Foreign Language School’s School History Museum, Students’ Studio, the Outward Bound Training Base, viewed and emulated the martial arts lesson during the recess break as well.
In the first place, at 8.50 A.M. at the conference room in the administration building, the founding assembly of the school alliance was convened. The league was co-sponsored by the Expert Committee from Elementary& Secondary Schools with the Private Education Association in Anhui Province and the top non-state-run schools including No.168 Middle School in Hefei City, Hefei Foreign Language School, Anqing Foreign Language School, Chao Hu Chun Hui Middle School, Fei Dong Sheng Quan Middle School, Fei Dong Jin Hong Middle School, Fei Xi Experimental Middle School, Nine-Son Mountain Public School in Anhui Province, Bo Zhou Peng Hua High School, Huo Shan Wen Feng School and Sui Xi Kou Zi Experimental School. The alliance was voluntarily organized by the schools mentioned above.
In the second place, the conference was chaired by Vice Chairman Zhu Zhiming with Provincial Non-Government Funded Education Association. First of all, Vice Chairman Zhu Zhiming introduced the school leaders and the founding background of the alliance. Furthermore, Secretary General Chen Yuhua announced the ‘Declaration of Evergreen School Forum in Anhui Province’, after which school leaders exchanged their perspectives. What’s more, Deputy Director General Jiang Changgen with Hefei Education Bureau made a keynote speech, which was of great significance and served as a summary, reflection as well as hope.
In summary, the establishment of the Evergreen School Coalition shall be implemented under the background of the newly issued ‘Law on the Promotion of Private Education’ by means of assistance, intelligence and moral principles to make a collective voice, make progress together and realize the integral development so that everyone will make arduous efforts to co-construct the education brand of high quality, propel prosperity and development of private education in Anhui Province in addition to making arduous efforts to cultivate qualified Chinese citizens and citizens of the world.
